Q. What is it?
Our planks are made from Urethane Composite materials. They are non-toxic and environmentally safe.
Q. How are the faux wood planks packaged?
The planks are packaged with (8) 3 7/8" x 46 1/2" planks, for a total of 10 sqft.
Q. How it is installed?
Our plank system makes it easy and convenient to install. Simply mark a level line for your first row; begin pulling the adhesive protective strip; press hard into place; continue to the end of the row; trim as needed before removing the protective strip, begin the next row with a staggered plank to avoid seams aligning; trim as needed around outlets and switches. This process will continue until you have completed the project. More information on installation can be found on our installation page.
Q. Where can the planks be installed?
Because it is installed with adhesive tape, the planks will attach to Sheetrock, concrete, wood or brick.
Q. Are trim planks available?
Trim Planks come packaged with (4) 46 1/2” pieces in a box. They have fully finished sides and are available in 1 1/4” widths, 3/4" thickness.
Q. Can I hang pictures on it?
Our faux wood has the similar density properties as pine. There are 3 main ways to mount objects to the wall.
First option, moderate size objects can be mounted directly to the face of the product with course threaded sheet rock screws.
Second option, you can use an self drilling anchor. Predrill through the plank and slightly into the drywall. Then, use the anchor to hold your piece in place.
Third option, you can use a Spring Loaded Hollow Wall Toggle Bolt anchor to hold items more securely. Predrill through the plank and drywall. Then, use the anchor to hold your piece in place.
Q. How do I clean it?
Any mild dishwashing detergent in warm water can be used on the surface of our faux wood, making it perfect for messy areas like kitchens and bathrooms.
